Corviknight's signature Mirror Armor helps counter any stat-decreasing moves, and a Flying Tera Typing gives it STAB-boosted, super-effective attacks. Once Toxicroak Terastalizes, Rock Slide will do STAB-boosted super-effective attacks while Dry Skin ability protects it from what would otherwise be harmful Water-type attacks.Īs a Flying/Steel-type, Corviknight is quite useful against Samurott. Filling Toxicroak's fourth move slot with Taunt to stall Samurott for a few turns can also prove useful. After that, a few Swords Dances will ensure that Toxicroak's Rock Slide does maximum damage throughout the remainder of the battle. When using a Rock Tera Type Toxicroak, setting up the field with Rain Dance is imperative for giving it that additional HP regain every turn. Finally, having Toxicroak hold a Shell Bell will make it an auto-regaining powerhouse in rainy weather. Additionally, Samurott mostly uses physical moves, so putting the remaining 4 EVs into DEF couldn't hurt. An Adamant Nature and EVs at 252 in both HP and ATK will help maximize its damage and survivability. Dry Skin lets Toxicroak regain HP every time it's hit with a Water attack, making it extra OP against Samurott. Alternatively, giving it a Fire Tera Type with Tera Blast is doable thanks to its Dry Skin ability. Toxicroak with Rock Tera Typing is a great alternative to a Flying-type against Samurott given its access to Rock Slide. Once that happens, simply repeat the process again and hit it with a few Terastalized Raging Bulls or Flare Blitzes One thing to look out for is Samurott's affinity to clear status changes after its shield is broken. After that, all that's left to do is hit Samurott with Raging Bull until it's defeated. Once Tauros is amply enraged, setting up the field with Sunny Day will maximize its Fire damage output. The key to winning with Fire Breed Paldean Tauros is to lower Samurott's stats with Tail Whip for the first few turns while waiting to take a critical hit. Finally, holding a Shell Bell will help Tauros stay healthy while it continues to do massive damage. An Adamant nature to boost its physical attack, coupled with EVs focused primarily on ATK and DEF will ensure Tauros can take lots of physical damage and dish it out. Given the inevitability of Samurott landing critical hits throughout the Raid, Tauros thrives in the very conditions that make Samurott powerful. This maxes out its attack when it gets hit by a critical attack. With a Fire Tera Type and access to Raging Bull, it becomes an unparalleled attacker, but the real kicker here is Tauros' ability: Anger Point. The perfect Pokémon for taking advantage of Samurott's high critical attack ratio is the Fire Breed of Paldean Tauros.
